Communication
One of Pat's priorities is good communication with her constituents. Pat publishes regular newsletters for household distribution. In 1997, Pat launched the Ward 9 Website - one of the first of its kind in Canada. In 1999, she introduced the online Ward 9 Newsletter to keep residents even better informed. Pat also publishes a printed newsletter, distributed to all homes in the ward, on a regular basis.
Pat holds ward meetings regularly on various issues and provides opportunities for residents to voice their concerns, to comment or to ask questions on any matter. Pat also keeps residents up to date through mailings on specific topics as necessary.
Pat takes action immediately on every call, letter or e-mail to her office. She ensures that all concerns are directed to the proper staff person to deal with and follows up on every matter. Residents know that when they contact Pat, their concerns will be addressed right away in a comprehensive and efficient manner.
